Armed Women of America

 Armed Women of America provides women with an opportunity to educate, equip, and empower themselves.  We strive to be armed, brave, and confident.

Our chapter is blessed to be led by three empowered and strong women.

Join us at our host range, Amarillo Rifle and Pistol for the Amarillo chapter or the Claude chapter’s private range for #NotMe Day.  We will tell the world that we will not be victims of violence against women through a show of solidarity.  We'll fire three shots at a special target.

#NotMe Day is typically held on our chapter meeting in June.  

T-shirts for #NotMe day were not available this year.  We hope to have a fabulous design for next year.

• What if I've never shot before?

We recommend getting familiar with firearms through instruction by one of our leaders if you've never handled a firearm before.  Our meetings are not the place for beginners to learn everything.  

• Am I too old?  Am I too young?

Our group is open to any woman who is legally of age to own a firearm in Texas.  Our members range from 20-78.  You'll fit right in!

• Who are the leaders?

See the section above.  We have three awesome ladies who provide knowledge and instruction at every meeting.

• What can I expect

You can expect one hour of classroom instruction on some aspect of gun ownership and one hour of range time devoted to drills for skills.  Expect an open group that welcomes all levels of shooters.
